Timeless Chocolate Mousse Pie
For my first submission (and second pie baked EVER) I chose to create a timeless, sophisticated and rich chocolate mousse pie – inspired the timeless fashion icon Jackie Kennedy.
Crust:
6 tsp butter, melted
Mix the butter and graham crackers. Press into 9in pie pan and bake at 250 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Chocolate Mousse:
8oz Cream Cheese, softened
½ c
1c Powered sugar
1-1/2 tsp Vanilla
2 c Heavy Whipping cream
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and coco until smooth. Add Powered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. In a medium bowl, beat heavy cream until stiff. Fold whipped cream into chocolate cheese mixture. Spread into pre-baked chocolate graham crust. If desired, garnish with chocolate shavings, caramel and/or whipped cream. (in this case I added a whipped cream garnish to symbolize Jackie's classic pearls!)

This pie is FANTASTIC! Just the right thickness of a chocolately crust (not too thick thank you!) and the filling is light, rich, creamy and bursting with chocolate flavor! Cara is new to pie making and this pie shows her creativity, and strength in pie making skills! Good work Cara, I'll be waiting for the next one!
My husband would love that! Nice job, it looks wonderful.
This looks like a delicious pie, and a very "classic" one too! Great work for your first post!
A classic for sure! Love the pearls :)
